    Latvian Apostrofs 2026.05.2

    A Latvian keyboard layout for macOS that restores standard programmer-friendly key assignments (Shift+3 = #, Alt+4 = €) while keeping all Latvian characters accessible.

    Artifacts

    • LatvianApostrofs-2026.05.2.pkg — system-wide installer (/Library/Keyboard Layouts/). Double-click → installer flow → admin password.

    Install

    • PKG: download, double-click, follow installer (admin password required).
    • Homebrew: brew tap ojars/pareizrakstiba https://git.kapteinis.lv/ojars/homebrew-pareizrakstiba && brew install --cask apostrofs
    • Manual: clone the repo and run ./install.sh (per-user install, no admin needed).

    Activate

    System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit… → click + → scroll to Others → add Latvian (apostrofs). Log out and back in if it doesn't appear immediately.
